In May and June, I’ll be teaching six-week creative writing classes at my home in Mullumbimby. I haven’t taught for a while – I’ve been busy writing books – but am happy to be back teaching. I'll be running one class on Wednesdays (first class 9 May, 9.30 - 12.30) and one on Saturdays (from 5 May, 9.30 - 12.30). In my classes I create a supportive, constructive atmosphere, and give writers individual feedback on their writing. I offer lots of practical writing tools, and each week we explore a particular aspect of writing, eg character, plot, structure, dialogue or rewriting. You can come to the classes with an idea for a story or with a clean slate. Beginner writers are most welcome. The class will be limited to ten people, so book soon if you are keen. Cost is $210. Class will run from 9am to midday. Morning tea is provided. Contact me on firstname.lastname@example.org to book a place.
I would not have kept writing without your writing workshops and support. Learning about free writing from you is one of the best things I've ever done. It's also helped me finish my book. Mandy Wylie
Sarah's classes are an inspiration. I am new to the creative writing process and discovered a writing voice I didn't know existed. Sarah has a perceptiveness and clarity that allows her to identify the essence of what makes writing work. She sets up an inclusive and supportive group process that assists everyone to bring out the best in themselves. Kath Fisher
